The ward councilor of Kembujeh, Honorable Alieu K Darboe, today donated 300 Gloves to the Maternity Unit and Dressing Unit of the Brikama District Hospital, at a ceremony held at the Maternity Unit. Speaking at the presentation, Honorable Darboe said the donation was done through her sister Awa Fatty Sillah of Madison Wisconsin in USA.

He said his foundation’s donation is the third of it’s kind in couple of months to the said facility as two of those came from sister Awa Fatty Sillah, and the other one from School’s For Gambia German Leipzig Chapter. ” I am very delighted to present the 300 Gloves to the facility,” he said.

Honorable Alieu K Darboe whose foundation has been supporting the facility for the past four years jas call on other stakeholders to join him support the facility that is hosting and seeing a lot of people from all corners of the Region.

Aunty Sally Njie, Senior Midwife at the facility thanked both the foundation and sister  Awa Fatty Sillah for their foresight and concern towards supporting the health sector noting that everyone should emulate the donors in their quest to support the facility.

Ebrima Jawo senior officer at the Dressing Unit who echoed similar remarks described Honorable Alieu K Darboe as a true representative of the people as he has been supporting the facility with all his small earnings, but still committed to the promotion of quality and affordable health to all.

Morro Manga, a staff also noted that of anyone is to be thanked, the entire population of yeh Region should thanked this dynamic young leader who takes the facility as his own.

The Officer In Charge at the Hospital, who gave the vote of thanks noted that the donation by Honorable Alieu K Darboe should not be of any surprise to anyone looking at his track records with the hospital for the last year’s starting with Badinyaa, down to his own foundation.
