Barrister Bubacarr FM Colley, solicitor of the supreme Court of the Gambia under Kombo south constituency as an independent candidate files his nomination documents to the Independent Electoral Commission Regional office in Brikama. He promised to work with fellow National Assembly Members to revive the draft constitution.

Barrister FM Colley shortly after filing his nomination documents to the independent electoral commission on Wednesday said “If am voted to the parliament, I will work towards the draft constitution , the young people am seeing vying to become members of the parliament, if am there with them believe me , we will work towards it, how are we going to do it , we will remove those that did not agree on and then push it forward”

He added that, the rejected draft constitution was not bad in any way but the partisan interest of the members of the parliament over shadowed the collective interest which caused the Millions of Dalasi spent in absolute vain .

Mr Colley , who acquired knowledge in law bragged at his qualification indicating that members of the parliament at the time have less understanding in law which resulted in the disregard of the draft.

He stated that, his leadership will constitute a committee which will be guided in law and principe to attract the participation of his constituents which may determine their approach to the draft .

Meanwhile Barrister Colley added that , he will hold the National Environment agency by their throat to ensure that the environmental laws are put in place and implemented as protection of the environment is on top of his agenda .

in his strongest voice “Environmental laws are not implemented”.

“National assembly is a law enacting body, if law is the Quran I will tell you I studied it from Bakara to Nas so you don’t expect me to go to the national assembly and fail to contribute meaningfully to the development of my constituency and I am not seeing any party all I am seeing is Gambia I want to unify the Gambia I think Gambia is bigger than any political party because recently we have seen that the National assembly members are more into politics than the interest of our country” Barrister said.

However Bubacarr FM Colley continued that his people have been crying for far too long and he deemed it imperative to resign from the drug law enforcement agency to go and salvage his people.

“I have worked with the drug law enforcement agency for ten solid years and that alone is an achievement, I have been serving the Gambia for ten years and I have rose through the ranks from NCA1 constable to assistant superintendent and I have been posted to various units for the drug law enforcement agency which includes; execution and legal affairs office gender and child health welfare unit at some point I was stationed as station officer at WASSU DLG as an operative” he claimed.

As part of his achievements FM Colley said he won different cases and worked with the prosecution and legal affairs office and dealt with more than fifty cases and prosecuted more than fifty accuse persons.
