Gambian immigrant Fatoumata Danson East Harlem mother of eight, was  shot dead by her son, Musa Camara following a dispute about him refusing to get a job. According to reports, the 22-year-old was apprehended on Tuesday after fatally shooting his biological mother following an intense argument of his reluctance to look for a job.

Late Fatoumatta Danso, who came to the US in the early 90s in search of greener pastures, was a mother of eight. She was shot on the head inside their apartment Lehman Village houses on E. 108th St. near Park Ave after the aforementioned strife.

According to the uncle of the suspect, Yankuba Sangarie, ‘The son doesn’t want to work. He’s very lazy. He wants the mother to take care of him all his life. … He doesn’t want to go to work or get a place for himself. That’s the reason that he shot the mom.’

Fatoumatta was described as a very ‘hardworking woman’ who came to New York in search of a better life for her family. ‘She doesn’t have a problem with anybody,’ the overwrought uncle said. ‘She’s a hardworking lady, taking care of her eight children. Everybody loves her. She’s a good sister, a good family member.’
