The government of the Gambia  announces a curfew to be Effective tomorrow at 10pm-5am lasting for 21 days. This is meant to curb the spread of the deadly corona virus, as the Gambia confirms two new deaths and 128 new cases of covid-19 in a single day, bringing the total number of deaths to 16, and a total of 799 positive cases.

About 30 percent of these are health workers mainly from MRC, Pakala, and Sharab clinics.
In this vein, the lord mayor of kanifing municipal council, Ahmad Talib Bensouda also tested positive for the virus, this announcement was made on the kmc Facebook page on Tuesday.

While the president of the republic, Adama Barrow, was confirmed NEGATIVE after being suspected of contracting the virus due to the positive result of the vice president and other cabinet ministers respectively.
