Police in CRR arrested 11 people at Sami Karantaba Tenda for stagging a music show at the village in violation of the Public Health (Dangerous and Infectious Disease) Protection Regulation 2020.

Similarly, 2 DJs were arrested at Sare Sambel Village-CRR for gathering children and attempting to stage a “Salibo Music Show” thereby violating regulations.

Also, Serrekunda Police arrested 3 individuals including a motorcyclist for failing to adhere to the compulsory facemask wearing regulation.

The Mobile Traffic department has arrainged 7 drivers at the Kanifing Magistrate Court for carrying passengers without facemask. They were sentence to a fine of D1000 each.

The arrested individuals are all charged in accordance with the Public Health (Dangerous and Infectious Disease) Protection Regulation 2020 and will be arrainged before the courts as soon as possible.

Event organizers are strongly adviced to adhere to regulations inorder to help in curtailing the further spread of Corona virus in the Gambia.
