The government of The Gambia through the ministry of defense bid farewell to Turkish military adviser whose term in office has come to an end. 

Colonel Ishmael for the past one year, has been providing military training and logistics to The Gambia Armed Forces which according to the defense minister Sheikh Omar Faye is highly commendable, while describing Turkey as one of the best and true friends of The Gambia.

“You have since your assignment into the country provided invaluable support in terms of training and advice which helped to significantly transform The Gambia armed forces training school to a reputable training institution” the Defense Minister attributed these qualities to the outgoing Colonel.

The Minister additionally seized the opportunity to welcome the new Turkish Military Adviser Colonel Trust and assured him of his ministry’s unwavering support during his tenure.
