We the youths of Soninkara under the umbrella of Wagadu Saanu which is the youthwing of Federation International of Soninke (FISO/APS) hereby extend our warmestappreciation to you, your Excellency Mr. Adama Barrow President of Republic ofThe Gambia for appointing our immediate past President Hon. Essa Conteh as theDeputy Governor of Upper River Region(URR).

Mr. Conteh led the association and had demonstrated great leadership qualities to thesoninkara youths by galvanizing the entire youths’ anchors during the FISO Gambia2020. During his tenure Wagadu Saanu was able to successfully host its first ever prefiso conference in The Gambia and also lead the youths throughout the event which turn out to be the most successful event the youth has ever participated as far as Fisois concern.

Wagadu Saanu’s aims is to foster increased bond   among youth   from  all  the Six African countries, shared experiences on best practices, partnerships and capacity building of youth to influence policies and practices.

Your this single move has demonstrated your administration strive to empower youthsby putting them in leadership positions, while thanking you Mr. President for the trust and confidence you had on Hon. Essa Conteh, we the youth are assuring you that we will take   this appointment as an appointment for all of us, we will implore and galvanize ourselves to work towards the success of Mr. Essa Conteh, you and the people of the Gambia at large .

While thanking you President” we will be   happier to see more youth in your government. As an association we believe there are more energetic youths in the Gambia whom we believe will serve well if given an opportunity.
