In their continuous effort to unearth the people responsible for the release of the former Gambian diplomat to Saudi Arabia’s alleged nude pictures online, the police have tracked a suspect in Senegal, Europe and the US.

ASP Lamin Njie confirmed that investigations now lead to Senegal, US and Europe. “Currently, they investigators got some telephone numbers. Some of these numbers they are tracing to different locations such as Senegal, Europe and the US,” he added.

Mr. Njie disclosed that The Gambian police are partnering with the Interpol in Senegal along with other partners in Europe and America as they broaden their investigation into the matter. 

Late last year, Gen. Lamin Bojang was sacked from The Gambia Action Party GAP as its flag-bearer following nude pictures reportedly shown to be him, emerged online. 

 However, Mr. Bojang denied the pictures were his adding that they were a smear campaign intended to blackmail and defame his character.
