Former Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan has reportedly landed in Banjul to continue talks with political leaders to help end the constitutional impasse.

Political leaders were invited for talks in Nigeria last month to end the deadlock but talks crumbled after the United Democratic Party (UDP) refused the removal of the retroactive clause in the Draft constitution which bar Barrow from contesting beyond 2021 elections.

The UDP maintained that the constitution must remain intact before it is brought back to the parliament.

With the return of Jonathan it remains to be seen how the talks will span out this time around.

Only time will tell!
