The Gambia Action Party (GAP) has made a significant breakthrough in politics by appointing Alfusainey AB  Jarjue a former chief of Foni Bintang Karanai as it’s national chairman.  This development came recently after the SG of GAP succeeded in convincing the former traditional ruler to throw his weight behind GAP, this came as a surprise to many as foni remained as a stronghold for the opposition APRC.

Mr Afusainey Jargue has served under the former regime as chief, he also held key positions in the traditional governance system such as the president of West coast regional land tribunal as well as the adviser to the council of Alkalolu in the Gambia. He also served briefly as the public relation officer of  the national council  of chiefs under the late  paramount chief Demba Sanyang.

According to the Secretary General of GAP, Mr Jarju  joining GAP indicates his readiness to join the action oriented party to salvage this country from bondage.
