Earlier on Friday, The Programme Manager of Gambia Red Cross Abdoulie Fye received donations from Global Properties on behalf of his Association.

The donation included locally made masks, hand sanitizer and thermometer scanners.
The PM of GRCS said, the support is really appreciated as it will benefit thousands of people. He added that, fighting #Covid19 calls for collective effort because “Together we can end the Corona Virus.”

Njillan Faye, a representative from global Properties present these equipment to the Gambia red cross society on behalf of her company, she urged Gambians to adhere to the provided measures. “The fight against coronavirus is of concern to every citizen hence the government cannot do it alone,” Njillan said.

She added that, her company took it a responsibility to be a part of the fight against Covid-19.

The first case of coronavirus in the Gambia was reported on 17 March 2020, who was later take to MRC unit in the Gambia’s specialist clinic in Fajara, to receive treatment. The patient was a woman in her twenties who had travelled to the Gambia from the United kingdom on March 15, 2020. Since then, the country has now recorded 28 confirmed cases, 6 active, one death and 21 recovered.
