On the night of Wednesday 7 June 2020, A 15 year old boy by the name Ebrima Ceesay was stabbed to death at Bakoteh. The incident occurred two weeks after another man stabbed both his parents at the same place Bakoteh.

Reports has it that, the alleged murderer, Almamy Darboe, also a 15 year old, had an argument with Ebrima in the morning and the culprit waited for him on the road and stabbed him on his back.  Almamy is currently detained at the Bakoteh police station aiding the police in their investigations.

The police spokesman ASP Lamin Njie, said, when they arrived at the crime scene, the victim had already been taken to the hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

“The victim was stabbed by another fifteen-year-old boy. So right now, investigations are ongoing and the suspect is currently helping the Bakoteh police in their investigations,” he concluded.
