Following the recent story published by the standard news paper on Monday, saying that ‘APRC confirmed coalition talks with NPP’ the spokesperson of APRC party MR. Dodou Jah, stated in a press release that ‘APRC party has not agreed and is not into any discussions with any political party for a possible coalition at the moment.’
The APRC’s 1st Deputy Leader Ousman Rambo Jatto Jatta, first refuted the Standard newspaper story about a confirmed alliance with the NPP calling it a clear propaganda and that the standards editor Lamin Cham is manifesting his political immaturity as he is a dead fan of UDP.
Jatta claimed that, this is not the first time standard is publishing such a false and outrageous story about the party.
However, Mr. Jah confirmed that some executive members of the party had previously discussed with the NPP for a party merge in anticipation of the 2021 presidential election.
‘It is correct to say that some APRC Executive Members have met some NPP party members and other political party members that have shown interest in wanting to work with the APRC Party towards the 2021 Presidential Elections, and thus, no coalition discussions are/were being held and no agreement has either been reached.’ He concluded.
