The community of Demba Kunda was greeted with an inferno incident which happened on  the 28th December 2021.  The entire building was burnt to ashes with a lot of personal belongings and other agricultural products were completely destroyed. 

 

The following things were destroyed

 

  1. Two structures Building with more than 10 rooms

      2.  All the clothes were burnt to ashes

      3.  More than 30 bags of groundnuts were  burnt too

      4.   The educational materials of more than 20 students both the primary and upper and senior category were burnt to ashes.

The family is currently displaced. The compound household head and the whole community of Demba Kunda are  seeking support from philanthropists, NGOS, and government institutions either in kind or cash.
