The former mayor of Kanifing municipal council (KMC) under the regime of the exiled former president , Yahya Jammeh .

In responding to what he described futile allegations of the current mayor of KMC, Mayor Bensouda in a press statement held yesterday.  He stated that , Bensouda was provoked by the ward councilor of London corner who confronted Bensouda for not visiting his ward which result in spewing of unwarranted utterances against his tenure in office as mayor .

He stated that , currently Talibs led council is in high debts which stood at D15 Million .

He strongly refuted the claims of misusing the councils funds also financing the birthday of the ex- president Jammeh . He added that , during his time , auditors never found him defaulted even after he left the office .

Speaking about the projected implemented under his leadership , Yankuba colley said , in every community under Kanifing municipality has an evident of their project visibly structured . He added that , in his time there was an open door policy which allowed him to know the problems of his staff , his subjects among others , unliked Bensouda whom he alleged of using unnecessary protocols to get to him this include booking appointments among other bureaucratic means .  He added that , his council purchased about 15 tractors were deployed to manage waste within the municipality before Talib ‘s “mbalit” project .

He alleged the that , Bensouda during his time only two million is used in the payment of staff salaries whilst under Bensouda above six million is used .
