Shorty after the national congress of the Gambia Action Party (GAP) its national president Tamsir Jassey on the 12th of March, tendered his resignation letter as the national president to GAP party, This letter was dated and signed by Tamsir Jassey, addressed to the national executives of the party.
Many critics indicated that Jassey’s resignation might be influenced by leadership interest which the big names of the party look up to occupy such as the flag bearer ship; this raised the dust of row amongst them.
According to the party executives, after some internal meeting they have resolved the indifference and below are the comments of GAP national president who rescinded his resignation
“In light of the rejection of my resignation letter by the Secretary General and the top executives’ members of the party, and the fruitful discussion that we had on Friday 12th March 2021. I hereby rescind my resignation letter send to The Gambia Action Party dated 11th March 2021
I am delighted that the executives and I were able to reach an understanding that will strengthen the relationship that we all have with each other, as well as with the Gambia Action Party. I am confident that GAP will be the ruling party of our homeland in 2021. “He concluded.
