United Nations special Coordinator for development in the Sahel, Mr. Abdoulaye Dieye , today the 16th February, pay courtesy call on the president of The Gambia Adama Barrow , where he unveiled to the presidency of The Gamba that, his office has proposal for the Gambia to host the international forum on good governance.

This pronouncement was carried out in the presence of some key UN staff who accompanied Mr Dieye , they are in the persons of Mr. Tonya Tikal
UNDP regional coordinator for West and Central Africa, Nwanne, Vwene-Obahor of the office of the special coordinator for development in the Sahel , Seraphina Wakana, the UN resident coordinatorand UNDP resident representative.

The UN special coordinator (UNSCD) used the occasion to congratulate Adama Barrow for his re-election in the recently concluded December 4th presidential election .

Mr Dieye thumps up Gambia’s strides in the governance agenda, which he said other countries in the Sahel can learn best practice from The Gambia
