The presidential candidate for the opposition Gambia Action Party (GAP) retired army Major Alieu Sowe, last Sunday at his official unveiling promised that he will establish Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) as a strategy to suppress corrupt practises of government officials.

“Dear Gambians, part of our legacy under my government is to establish a functional Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) that will deal with all the corruption related issues in the country ” he stated. He stated that for more than half a century , corruption has been embedded in the public officials which defeats the progress of the nation as well as damages the reputation of the nation due to individual interest.

He brags that his administration will accord zero tolerance to corruption and shall lead the GAP led government to establish the toughest anti corruption legislation in the 21st century.
