Giving Back to The Gambia Charity Foundation Inc, on Thursday 9 July 2020, completed the construction of a $1200 worth of hand-dug well for the community of Kiang Kundan Maria in the Lower River Region. While this project was entirely funded by the aforementioned foundation, it was supervised and implemented by a sister organization called Sadaqatul Jariyah Foundation.
Giving Back to The Gambia is a non-profitable organization founded by Gambians living in America. The aim of the foundation is to positively impact the lives of Gambians through humanitarian gestures like providing clean and accessible water and other uplifting projects, says the president.
The Alkalo of the village Ba Foday Darboe, extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Giving Back to The Gambia Charity foundation for coming to their aid. He described the gesture as a timely intervention as they used to struggle to get access to clean water. He encouraged other charity foundations to follow suit and invest in such projects.
