The spokesperson of the Gambia Government Ebrima G Sankareh described rumors of a 21 days night curfew purportedly issued by the Government effective today as “fatally false”.

He asserted that the ploy is a desperate attempt by saboteurs to diminish the welcoming ceremony of President Barrow scheduled for today in Banjul.

“Citizens are warned that the use of Government insignia, symbols, emblems, letterheads and or documents to peddle false information calculated to undermine and or derial its function, is utterly criminal and punishable by law.” Sankareh noted.

He urged citizens, residents and members of diplomatic and consular corp to disregard the rumor.
