Musa Darboe a young Gambian that developed so much passion in film making has ticked his name along side big names in the nollyhood industry which accord him an enviable accolades as a result of his outstanding performance in the Industry .

“Musa Darboe popularly known as Chief in the “movie world was born in and raised in Brufut. I commenced my acting career in 2017 after I graduated from high school, I began doing my acting rehearsals on my own and sometimes will go to Ebunjan Theatre to meet top Gambian stars in the movie industry. In 2018 I had my debut as a screen Actor in  a movie which was directed by Bakary .S. Sonko but the film belongs to the former secretary general Momodou Sabally ( JANGI JOLLOF) , And in 2018 I wrote my own film which was a true life story , ( THE UNFAITHFUL GIRL) , I looked for sponsorship to shoot the film the whole of 2018 and nobody sponsored , I had to sponsor it myself and with the help of Ousman Manjang a Gambian residing in USA. In November 2019 the movie was premiered and it was one of the most successful movie premiers ever in the Gambia.

In 2020 February I collaborated with Sunset Film Production and we produced a movie ( THE BRAVE RESTLESS STUDENTS ), in 2021 I wrote and produced a movie ( JONGFOLO) which is not yet officially out , in May 2021, I got invited by a film producer in Nigeria Nollywood to do a film , I flew to Nigeria and did few films and returned to the Gambia July 2021 , came back to Gambia and premiered JONGFOLO in September and November I returned to Nigeria to based , in December 2021 I got nominated at the  AFRICA MOVIE ICONS AND CELEBRITY AWARDS IN SIERRA LEONE FRETOWN where I won two International awards (1) THE BEST YOUNG INTERNATIONAL ACTOR IN AFRICA 2021 ( THE UNFAITHFUL GIRL WON THE BEST STUDENT FILM IN AFRICA 2021.  Returned back to Nigeria January 2022 doing movies week in week out and Futuring in Skits every week. I secured my face on THE CAGED GODDESS Official movie Poster for the first time . And I intend to start producing my own film ( THE FORSAKEN SON) , In which I would want to bring a Gambian to act in the film so that we can develop our movie industry, looking for funds from some companies and which I gave them a good business proposal
