At least eight children were allegedly shot dead on the spot at Mother Francisca International Bilingual Academy, a school with both primary and secondary school children in Kumba, a restive town in Cameroon South West Region.
An unknown gunmen reportedly stormed the premises in the early hours of 24th October 2020 and opened fire on over a dozen students leaving unspecified number of people injured.

The story which was carried out by the National Telegraph news outlet has left many people angry across the continent. All this is coming on the heels of continued protest against police brutality in Nigeria as well as post election violence in Guinea.
The increase in security across the continent has led many to think whether the continent considered as one of the fastest growing economy is actually moving.
