Sirimang foundation is a charitable foundation established on the 18th of May 2018, with its objective centered on improving the life and livelihood of orphans, less privileged and marginalised citizens of the Gambia through sustainable socio-economic programs. He stated that they have helped with some social projects in communities such as Kiang Karantaba with a water system.

Speaking to this reporter, Sulayman Saidy, the Secretary General of the foundation, revealed that since their establishment, they have touched the lives of about 300 families across the country. He added that, currently the foundation helped out 89 school going children, with hidden costs attached to education this he said includes, schools bags, shoes, lunch and uniforms .

“I am appealing to all the parents especially our supported parents to take up their children education seriously, as the old adage says Education is the key to life “

However, he was quick to mention that partnership remains their challenge, he calls on other supporters to join hands with them to deliver the  most needed support to needy communities .

He further stated that the foundation also helped in the provision of second hand clothing to the Brikama General Hospital and also improved the condition of its mortuary .

He added that  this foundation also played a pivotal role in the promotion of grass root sport in the communities that felt they were being marginalised by providing them with the necessary sporting equipment required to enhance their skills in different disciplines of sports.
