In their quest to fight against Covid-19, the United Democratic Party(UDP) under the leadership of Honorable Ousainou Darboe, launched a “National Free  Masks For All”

The initiative, Mr. Darboe said, is uniquely geared towards providing and assisting Gambians and non Gambians living in the country, especially those facing financial constraints, with face masks to protect themselves and the country from the lethal virus.

“At out level as a political party, we recognize the need to stand by all Gambians and non-Gambians residing in our country and more importantly, extend moral and financial assistance to all citizens and families during moments of need,”  Mr Darboe said, at the launching of the initiative held at his office.

He added that, the goal of this initiative is to donate face masks in all regions across The Gambia, starting the first week of August 2020,  through the Party’s National Youth Wing Structure. He concluded by calling Gambians to be vigilant and adhere to the rules and regulations stated by the World Health Organization.
