In their effort to strengthen their internal democracy, the united Democratic Party offer chance for Gambian to opt for the presidential seat of the party,

The central Committee of the mighty United Democratic Party (UDP) has issued a press release dated 27th March 2021 signed by the senior administrative secretary Alhagie S Darboe, The dispatch urged the qualify Gambian to express interest in the political battle axe seat of the party, this individual is expected to lead the party in the December 4th presidential race against other 17th standard bearers from other parties.

“All interested applicants are advised to check and ensure that they meet the qualification’s criteria for the office of the president, as provided under section 62 of the 1997 constitution of The Gambia”release stated.

The candidates are expected to undergo vetting by the central committee of the party and this will be in accordance with 23, paragraph 3(b and c) of the UDP’s constitution.
