On 25th October 2020, UNAMID Police Commissioner, Mr. Landing Kinteh, held series of meetings with Senior Officials of the Mission’s other components (Civilian and Military) as well as Unit Heads of the Police Component in his office at Elfasher, North Darfur State.
In the company of UNAMID Force Commander, Lieutenant-General Leonard Ngondi, Mr. Landing Kinteh paid courtesy call on the Mission’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Luke Mhlaba, as well as Madam Campbell Bright, the Mission’s Chief of Service Supply Chain Management and had lots of fruitful discussions regarding many aspects of the Mission’s mandate.
UNAMID Police Chief of Staff, Mr. Amadu Mannah, also seized the opportunity to introduce various Heads of Units of the Police Component to the UNAMID Police Commissioner. After the usual pleasantries, the Unit Heads introduced themselves to the UNAMID PC and gave an in-depth summary of their roles and responsibilities including the composition of their personnel.
After listening to the submissions of the various Unit Heads, UNAMID PC congratulated them on “a job well done” and further remarked that “I have seen some remarkable, exceptional and impressive achievements. It demonstrates the caliber of our personnel and that of our Police Contributing Countries (PCCs)”.
“I encourage you to do your best unto the end of this mission. Your Policing experience is worth commending. Experience yields positive results”, concluded the UNAMID Police Commissioner.
