Footage of police beating an unarmed Black music producer in his own studio have sparked shock and condemnation in France and across the world. The incident which was captured by CCTV shows four police officers repeatedly hitting the man named Michel with fists and truncheons. 

The victim said that the officers beat him and also hurled racial slurs at him. The officers involved in the incident are currently suspended in custody, while the French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin has promised thorough investigation. He promised that once the legal system shed light on the issue the officers responsible will be fired

The video is shared by prominent French footballers including Mbappe and Friezmann. President Macron said he was shocked by the incident and said it shame France as a country.
