Fellow Gambians and Fellow NPPians, We hereby Presents you a Pro-Movement within National People’s Party named OPERATION CLEANSE NPP.

This movement is not only set-up to express our feelings with regards to the unacceptable poor performance of our Party (NPP) in the Last National Assembly Elections but, also to serve as an anger therapy and restore hope, trust and confidence in our Party(NPP) and Coalition Partners and Members.

We are all grief by this poor performance of the party in this just past National Assembly Elections. In times of grief, victims must be heard. They must be allowed to express themselves and their feelings to extinguish their anger, and our demands for the party executives Resignation is in that vein.

We are all aware that the Party is a young Party, which doesn’t go through a rigorous process in it’s establishment/formation and Selection of it’s Leadership, which translates into numerous problems ranging from disunity in the top brass/Party, executives, incompetency and inefficiency which leads us (The NPP Party) to the last poor performance in the Last National Assembly Elections.

Its an Indisputable fact that the above unproductive qualities and challenges if not identified and addressed will not only fail a political Party but can lead to extinction.

The Party leadership, i.e from the National executives, especially The three Regions of the Greater Banjul Areas, that are West Coast KM and Banjul down to the Grass Roots must be thoroughly checked that Loyal, competent and ethical Supporters are put into leadership positions so that excellent, competency and integrity are not only advocated and nutured, but Politics is generally seen and dwell as a selfless and  national development activity but not as income earning and self interest activity.

There cannot be a competent Government team and civil service sector without a competent Ruling Party executives hence the later forms and makes up the first Body. Hence personnel is policy. No matter how excellent and magnificent programmes, policies and structures are, if the people implementing them are  incompetent, those Programmes, policies and structures will be as useless as that AlJAMDOU old ferry parked at Banjul Terminal.
