Voter registration has been found in almost all the regions of the country witnessing the issuance of voters card to eligible voters ahead of the December 4th presidential pool. It’s in line with this that MC Cham JR of GDC urges the eligible youth who clock the voting age to go register for their votes .

He stated that the democracy which the Gambians are enjoying is earned collectively. He said it was not earned on a silver platter but through sweat, blood and death. He added that this forthcoming election is not about President  Barrow or any other political party but about the Gambia and its future which must not be compromised. He added that they as young people might hold divergent perspectives on political ideologies but urged everyone to get registered to exercise their  democratic rights.

Mr Chan jnr. Challenged those who do not get the required age to stay away from the registration centers: ” If you are not eligible to get the voter’s card , stay away from it. To the rest of us as good citizens of The Gambia , we should not facilitate or enable registration of ineligible voters .It’s wrong, unpatriotic and against the laws of The Gambia ” he warned.
